Nothing but a host. Richard Gere may be more than thirty years older than wife Alejandra Silva, but the two are decided to reside each day to the fullest with their family.
“I used to be a little lost, without light, and knowing him gave meaning to my life. It used to be feeling that somebody used to be achieving out and appearing me my true path,” the Spanish socialite gushed to Hola! Magazine in April 2018, three years after she was first linked to the Officer and a Gentleman star. “It needed to be that way on this lifetime.”
She persevered: “[Richard] has promised me no less than 20 excellent years! But I have to confess that he has much more energy than me, is much more active. It’s onerous to keep up with him. … He’s no longer human!”
Gere, for his phase, added that since assembly Silva, “I have found the quiet and happy existence that I've always sought.”
That similar month, he and the philanthropist tied the knot in a secret ceremony. “[It was] an overly particular second in our lives … now not most effective because we were able to share the joy of our mutual love with family and friends, but in addition because we had the chance to express our aspirations for the long run,” Silva wrote by way of Instagram 3 months later. “As we move along this path and undergo the quite a lot of ups and downs of lifestyles, we aspire to transform them into the path of love, compassion, pleasure and equanimity. ✨”
After just about three hundred and sixty five days of marriage, the former publicist confirmed that she and Gere were expecting their first child together. “An excessively special second just a few mins ago … Getting blessings for our precious to come back,” Silva wrote by means of Instagram in September 2018, along a photograph that confirmed the Runaway Bride star and the Dalai Lama hanging their fingers on her child bump. “We couldn’t announce it earlier than telling HH Dalai Lama.”
Us Weekly confirmed in February 2019 that Silva — who stocks son Albert (born in December 2012) with ex-husband Govind Friedland — gave birth to a son named Alexander. Just over 12 months later, the pair welcomed a second son.

Prior to his romance with the Spain native, Gere used to be married to Cindy Crawford from 1991 to 1995. The supermodel later blamed their 17-year- age difference for the cut up. The Pretty Woman star welcomed son Homer with type Carey Lowell in 2000 and so they tied the knot two years later. They separated in September 2013 and finalized their divorce 3 years later.
